Headline Details: A 1U CubeSat mission. UPAEP and FMRE have designed several amateur experiments giving continuity to the Aztechsat-1 project. In México, FMRE members are also volunteers of the National Center of Disaster Prevention, and Gxiba will be able to monitor the ashes dispersed by volcanoes in order to alert the communities affected by such ashes. Also, the GXIBA satellite will be a digipeater node which will provide the service of listening messages and then forward them to other nodes using satellite to earth communications. Remembering Aztechsat-1 objectives: I.- Promote Radio Amateur Activities II.- Support Emergency Messages & HAM activities with FMRE: With Gxiba, this objective will be extended by processing images of volcanoes ashes and aerosols. III.- Increase Amateur Activities: We are working with FMRE, the Mexican Aerospace Agency, several public Universities (like UNAM, Panamericana, Aerospace of Queretaro) developing four new cubesats and exchanging amateur knowledge from Aztechast-1 and Gxiba. IV.- Experimental Academic Data Satellite to Satellite Communication: In this case by using the Iridium services and extend our knowledge about satellite with satellite communications comparing Globalstar versus Iridium and share this with academic and ham community. The Gxiba mission will extend the amateur objectives of the former Aztechsat-1, which was contacted extensively by national and international members. As a digipeater will be able to receive and forward messages enriching such network. Young people can experiment creating the basic equipment in order to contact the Gxiba satellite as done with Aztechsat-1. And as declared by Mexican IARU representation (FMRE), UPAEP and FMRE are working together in order to simplify and promote the licensee procedure aligned with the national Telecommunication Federal Institute (IFT). Proposing a UHF downlink using 9k6 GFSK in AX100 mode 5. Planning a JAXA deployment from the ISS in Dec 2025 More info at https://upaep.mx/gxiba
