Headline Details: Slippers2Sat will be a technological demonstration 1U and also educational satellite. It follows the footsteps of Munal satellite developed by Antarikchya Pratisthan Nepal and also is heavily inspired by the BIRDS series of CubeSats developed in Kyushu Institute of Technology. Slippes2Sat shall house the NXT GEN CUBUS, made in Nepal by Nepalese engineers. The satellite project will have two parallel missions, one in the education sector and the other in technological demonstration. Along with that, the on board computer will also use the PX4 operating system predominantly used for drone operating systems. Antarikchya Pratisthan Nepal intends to employ a modular, plug-and-play system for 1U CubeSat. Software Digipeater Mission (S-DP).The Software Digipeater is a text based mission that will facilitate the amateur radio community with the use of the resources of existing NXT_GEN_CUBUS Technology Demonstration Slippers2Sat will be a technological demonstration 1U and also educational satellite. Software Digipeater Mission (S-DP) The Software Digipeater is a text based mission that will facilitate the amateur radio community with the use of the resources of existing NXT_GEN_CUBUS (discussed in detail in 5.5). Imaging Mission (CAM) An imaging mission which will employ two cameras (NIR and RGB) to take the images of the earth and also calculate Normalized Differential Water Index (NDWI). The image taken by the satellite will be easily accessible and will be uploaded on the project website. https://s2s.antarikchya.org.np/ Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS) An ADCS that will use magnetorquers to stabilize the satellite and also help Antarikchya Pratisthan Nepal to plan future missions involving constellations. Earthquake Precursors Detection Mission (EPDM) The EPDM will detect ELF/ ULF to observe and detect earthquake precursors. NOTE: The satellite team consists of six amateur license operators as mentors and ten lower secondary students (middle school students of grade seven and eight) from an impoverished, marginalized and aboriginal Chepang community of Nepal. The Chepang community lives in rural parts of Nepal, where basic needs for quality of life like drinking water, ample food and shelter are also scarce. The project shall select ten such students from such backgrounds and house them in a hostel, not just meeting their basic needs and elevating the quality of lives, but also introducing them to satellite technology and guiding them to make a satellite. Proposing a UHF downlink for housekeeping, telemetry and mission data using 4k8 GFSK with digipeater using 1k2 GFSK. Planning a ACS Space launch from Jiuquan Launch Center in Q2, 2025 into a 500 km SSO. **More information has been requested from the group** For more information about mission, please refer to the website at: https://s2s.antarikchya.org.np/mission/amateur **A downlink on 437.375 MHz has been coordinated**
