Headline Details: A 3U CubeSat. BAMA-1 will be the first satellite to be launched into orbit from The University of Alabama. The mission will conduct a flight demonstration of a drag sail module by rapidly deorbiting the satellite. The mission will start with deployment of cubesat from the ISS using Nanoracks, followed by deployment of the drag sail after two-line element tracking data has been refined. Proposing a UHF downlink using 2GFSK or GFSK4 from 2k4 to 38k4 data rates. Planning a Nanoracks deployment from the ISS in Q3/Q4 2021. More info at https://uaspace.ua.edu/ **A downlink on 437.460 MHz has been coordinated** **BAMA-1 failed to reach orbit so a replacement BAMA-2 has been created. This will launch NET June 1st 2024 to the ISS and the mission and frequencies remain the same** | ||||
