| Headline Details: The satellite adopts a flat hexahedral box-type cabin configuration with fixed solar panels. The on-orbit deployed envelope is 700mm (X) × 630mm (Y) × 282mm (Z), and the platform total mass is 28kg. The Space-Ranger I satellite platform comprises six sub-systems: integrated electronics, control & propulsion (including an electric thruster), power, structure & mechanisms, thermal control, and communications, handling onboard data management, attitude/orbit control, power supply, thermal regulation, and TT&C/data transmission. Its non-amateur payloads include an optical camera, a circuit-board integrated payload, a light source panel, a deployable membrane, an electric propulsion unit (already part of the control sub-system), and a neutron detector, supporting Earth observation, active illumination, membrane deployment demonstration, and space neutron environment detection The Space Ranger I and Space Ranger II satellites were converted from the winning projects of the 2ndSpace Universities CubeSat Challenge. BEIHANG University, as the overall unit of the project, completed the project. It aims to carry out space debris monitoring and clean-up tasks through the design, development, in-orbit flight test and amateur radio application of microsatellites, improve our space surveillance capabilities, and provide students with a platform for amateur radio communication, space technology learning and satellite engineering practice. Our project is mainly used for the education and training of university students, and at the same time, telemetry and remote signaling are open to radio amateurs around the world, and they can participate in the project after applying for authorization. Proposing a UHF downlink using BPSK at 4096bps and an S Band downlink using QPSK at 200kbps. Planning a launch from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on January 2027 into a 500 km polar orbit. | ||||
