Headline Details: VR2Sat is the amateur radio payload aboard the Hong Kong Popular Science Satellite. The spacecraft has a mass of approx 28 kg and is 740x510x510 mm. It was proposed and developed by the Textile Institute American Chamber of Commerce Woo Hon Fai Secondary School Amateur Radio Club (VR2XHF), and is scheduled for deployment into a 385 km, 41.5-degree inclination orbit in the third quarter of 2026, following its victory in a student payload competition organized by the China Manned Space Engineering Office. The satellite will provide an SSTV downlink, an FM voice repeater, telemetry, and telecommand services, aiming to inspire more students to engage in STEM fields. Proposing a UHF downlink for telemetry and FM voice transponder and a VHF uplink. Planning a CASC launch from Wenchang in Q3 2026. More info at https://www.tiaccwhf.edu.hk/index.php
