Headline Details: The amateur payload consists of a control board that interfaces with a custom built V/U transponder.The payload has three modes of operation:VU transponder 2m up/70cm down(145.880/435.350MHz). A parrot repeater operating approx 20 seconds and a audio beacon with a 15 second message.The functions of the satellite are controlled by CTCSS tones. The amateur payload is part of a commercial satellite commissioned by the Department of Science and Technology and is being build by SUNSAT with experimental payloads coordinated by the University of Stellenbosch.
