Headline Details: GENESIS-J main mission is to replace GENESIS-N lost satellite on Firefly’s Alpha rocket maiden launch on September 3, 2021, providing radio amateur communications with a FM voice and FSK digital frames repeater. Software has been updated and improved. As an example, repeating of AX.25 / APRS 1200 bps frames has been successfully tested on ground and it should work up to 2400 bps. An experimental ionic liquid thruster provided by IENAI Space or plasma one by AIS may be on board depending on time restrictions to replace the one on GENESIS-N. Proposing a downlink on UHF with these options. FM voice repeater FSK data non regenerative repeater (up to 2400 bps AX.25, APRS) FSK data regenerative repeater (up to 50 bps) FSK data telemetry (50 bps) CW beacon 25 WPM FM pre-recorder voice with satellite callsign. Planning a Firefly launch from Vandenberg in Q1 2022 into a 300km polar orbit with LibreSpace QUBIK 3/4/5/6, Fossa Systems.
