Headline Details: A 3U Spacecraft. This space mission is educational venture involving undergraduate students from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and community partners. The all aspects of the program including scheduling and management as well as design, test, and analysis are student run. Cosmic Ray Payload (CRP): a scientific payload measuring energy and incident direction of high-energy cosmic rays, beta particles, gamma rays, and x-rays throughout 3 data collection phases. (Phase 1) After deployment, the payload will gather particle data from the Sun to calibrate the sensor array. (Phase 2) Then, the payload will take measurements from known high-energy particle emitters. I.e. black holes and neutron stars. (Phase 3) Finally the payload will attempt to create an astronomical map of high-energy particle sources. Memory Degradation Experiment (MDE): a scientific payload that monitors an array of commercial-off-the-shelf (CMOS) memory devices for data corruption due to radiation. There are five different memory types on the payload that will allow it to create a comparable dataset of error rates for each memory device. The MDE has a simple operating cycle. Initially, the memory devices are loaded with a pseudorandom test sequence. Then, they are monitored for degradation by comparing stored data to a test sequence.
