Headline Details: Delfi-C3 is triple Cubesat project with a launch from India on a PSLV rocket. Lift off is now expected late January 2008. It is designed for a scientific mission of 3 months. It will then activate a linear U/V transponder with 40kHz bandwidth. During this period the satellite will transmit performance data about its payloads and subsystems. Data will be collected and relayed to a central ground station in Delft by radio amateurs worldwide forming a globally distributed ground station network. The Delft ground station will be the only station used for telecommand. Should incorporate two self powered sunsensors that communicate with the OBC via UHF or UWB radio link. In order to shorten development time and test and verification procedures, the structural design of Delfi-C3 is based on the CubeSat standard. A Delfi-C3 will be the size of three of these standard CubeSats (3U). More info at http://www.delfic3.nl/ | ||||
