Headline Details: A 3U CubeSat.ELFIN-B is being designed to operate for ~2 years. The first month of the mission consists of system checkouts. Following this period, ELFIN-B will spin-up to 20rpm to perform science operations for the remainder of the mission. At the mission conclusion, the spacecraft will be disabled and will deorbit within approx. 2 years. Proposing a UHF downlink using 9k6 and 19k2 GFSK AX25 UI frame. Planning a Vandenberg ELaNa launch in September 2018 together with ELFIN–A from UCLA, SurfSat from University of Central Florida and DAVE from Cal Poly.
