Headline Details: SGSat:KySat-3 is a 1U CubeSat that will evaluate a new Stellar Gyroscope attitude determination system. Once in orbit the spacecraft will transmit on the UHF band and beacon using the AX.25 protocol to both permanent and portable ground stations. The permanent stations are located at the University of Kentucky in Lexington Ky and Morehead State University in Morehead Ky and will be manned by students. The expected telemetry on the beacon will include basic spacecraft health (batt voltages, solar cell temperatures). Larger data sets will be transmitted to the permanent stations which will include measurements of attitude control from the spacecraft gyroscope and pictures taken by the spacecrafts imager.Proposing a UHF transceiver using FSK. Planned launch date 2016 Summer via the ISS. ** A downlink on 437.450 MHz has been coordinated**
Application Date: 24 May 2016   Freq coordination completed on 31 May 2016
