Headline Details: TURKSAT-3USAT is 3 unit CubeSat based on the latest CubeSat standard. Its max. mass will be 4kg. TURKSAT-3USAT’s payload is a linear transponder. The aim is to provide voice communication between suitable locations from Low Earth Orbit for duration of about 10 minutes. The primary mission of our satellite is to maintain voice communications for amateur radio stations, all around the globe. This system consists of a transponder that works on VHF and UHF bands (VHF for uplink and UHF for downlink communications). Moreover, satellites will have a beacon and a modem onboard for telemetry data of the satellite. The satellite will also contain typical subsystems that are required for its successful operation: structure, EPS, batteries, solar panels, OBC, antenna, etc. Most of the systems will have redundancy. The estimated duration of the satellite mission is about 6 to 36 months.** Coordinated frequencies are transponder uplink 145.940-145.990MHz and downlink 435.200-435.250MHz. ***Revised CW beacon 437.225MHz*** Scheduled to launch on a Long March 2 rocket April/May 2013 More info available at http://usl.itu.edu.tr/en/index.php | ||||
