Headline Details: NanoSail-D2 is a triple cubesat proposal. It will be in a low earth orbit at 72 degrees inclination. This submission is for a beacon on board NanoSail-D2.One orbit takes about 98 minutes. The orbit is planned to be nearly circular with an altitude of 635 Km at the start of the mission, degrading to 200 Km at which time it would deorbit. The time from launch to re-entry is expected to be 70 to 100 days. It is planned that the NanoSail-D2 UHF downlink Beacon will always be operating from launch to re-entry unless there is a satellite anomaly. Command will take place on frequencies outside the Amateur Satellite Service.** Coordinated beacon downlink frequency of 437.270MHz has been agreed**
Application Date: 01 Feb 2010   Freq coordination completed on 15 May 2010
