Headline Details: Explorer 1 [Prime] is a Cubesat class re-flight of the USA’s first satellite mission. This 10cm square student built satellite will detect the Van Allen radiation belts using Geiger tubes donated by Dr. Van Allen in commemoration of his discovery in 1958. Historically accurate live telemetry tones will be broadcast on an audio beacon along with human readable packet radio messages. ** Coordinated frequencies of 437.305 uplink and 437.505 downlinkhave been proposed**.
