| Headline Details: A 3U CubeSat. BAMA-2 will be the first satellite to be launched into orbit from The University of Alabama. The mission will conduct a flight demonstration of a drag sail module by rapidly deorbiting the satellite. The mission will start with deployment of CubeSat from the ISS using Voyager NET April 2027, followed by deployment of the drag sail after two-line element tracking data has been refined. BAMA-2 is a re-flight of BAMA-1 which failed to reach orbit in 2021. The BAMA-2 mission has previously received coordination from IARU in 2023. This request is resubmitted due to delays in launch, as requested by IARU. This space station will be in a stable orbit for only a short time before the drag sail is deployed. Once the drag sail is deployed, the orbit will rapidly decay.The mission has not changed since it was coordinated in 2023.Proposing a UHF downlink using 2k4 GMSK with AX25.
